My Chinese wife is also a fanatic bargain shopper. This has worked out to our advantage.
My wife also calls me and our teenaged daughter often throughout the day. This is an expression of love.
You mentioned Hakka. My wife is Hakka Chinese. I have been told by many Asians that Hakka women make the best wives.
