Omni man had no idea of who Battle Beast was at this point. In the comics, he didn't meet Battle beast until the Viltrumite prison break with Allen.

Everyone forgets that battle best initially gets one shot by Thragg in the first battle while Mark and Omni Man put up somewhat of a fight. Battle Beast gets stronger afterwards and then fights Thragg. Omni man would be beat the battle beast on Earth at the time.

Because in canon aka comics:
Battle beast was introduced after Omni fought Mark and left Earth. And it's even worse that freaking immortal came in at the last minute.

After Mark got his butt kicked he called immortal a jerk which he is tbh.

As much as I love the joke of “he didn’t step in because he’d get killed” realistically, Nolan doesn’t know. Nolan’s entire job for the Empire before going to Earth was finding the worst threats to the Empire and eliminating them, if he knew about Battle Beast they’d have tried to do something about him (Battle Beast also canonically doesn’t meet any Viltrumites before Mark)
