Unity Shader Graph - Electricity Shader Effect Tutorial

In this Shader Graph tutorial we are going to see a pretty cool way of creating procedurally generated electricity without any textures. It's a free textures electricity shader!

Enjoy!

Amazing how you achieved this without using any external resources. You are an FX artist!

Thank you very much for the video! great work! How would you suggest combining a base color with the "sparks" being on top?

Hi Gabreil!
Thank you for another tutorial!!!
I have just purchased your amazing course on Udemy, really loving it.

May I know if you can help me to create an animated sheen/shine kind of shader as we have CC light sweep in after effects?

thanks a lot again.

It would be nice if you show us what materials you have used for the Beam and Sparks!

Thank you Gabriel for this tutorial! I have tried using this shader graph on a test sphere in my game and it works perfectly. However, when I apply it to my real objects, they become invisible! These objects have mesh renderers and a script that procedurally controls the mesh. Do you know what settings I need to adjust so that it displays properly? Thank you in advance!

You're great!
I will use this in my first game.
I will put your name in the credits.
Thank you very much!

It seems that there are a couple of errors that pop up when you view the shader in the inspector. one about the pow(f, e) not working for negative values, and the other about the ShadowPassVertex not being initialized. The shader still works, but curious if this has any performance implications or should be corrected?

I am a bit confused about when to use particals, vfx graph and shader graph. Can you make a video about this topic or summarize please?

Hi Gabriel! Great video like always!
QQ, is it possible to access material properties from code for a material created from a Shadergraph made shader?

This effect is great! Thank you! May I ask a question though? The effect doesn't seem to reduce with camera distance...IE, the lines look the same thickness at all distances. Any way of getting around that?

Hi Gabriel, great tutorial as always! I'm very interested in the course you are offering at Udemy, only wondering though if you really need Photoshop or if you can make due with something else like Krita?
