Pixel 9 Pro XL vs Pixel 8 Pro: It's Complicated

The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is an excellent improvement on the previous model, the Google Pixel 8 Pro. Does it do enough to absolutely be worth the upgrade? Probably not. Both of these phones offer incredible build quality, the best displays, awesome cameras, good speakers and sound quality, top-notch security, quick and consistent software updates, tons of software features exclusive to the Pixel phones and a couple of extra special additions, like Google Gemini and some awesome AI features. Just. Buy. Either. I personally prefer the Pixel 8 Pro for a smarter budget choice because of that amazingly smooth software of pure Android and the best cameras in any smartphone. BUT, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is absolutely worth the upgrade if you own an older Pixel model or are looking to try the Pixel experience. These two phones are both incredible choices for 2024. Period.
