If you're hoping to save some cash, the vanilla phone lops off a few bits like that telephoto camera lens. You also don't get Video Boost, for smoothing over those visuals and upgrading to 8k resolution. There's no LTPO screen on the Pixel 9 either, so the always on display isn't as efficient.

Thankfully the battery life is excellent on all three smartphones. The Pixel 9 Pro XL has the biggest capacity, but the smaller Pro and regular model can also happily last a long day on a single charge. The Pro XL does charge faster however, while all three Google phones offer wireless charging.

Of course, when it comes to AI features, this trio are the same. You've got Screenshots, Gemini Nano and camera tools like Add Me, all chucked in there. So if you stump up loads of cash for the Pixel 9 Pro XL or go more compact with the other two, you'll get a compelling mobile experience.

I am absolutely delighted with the 9 pro version! Finally Compact version which has everything I wished for from the Compact phone.😅
I am especially delighted with the 42mp front camera. Huge difference when making a video call in low light conditions! I would advise everyone to give a little bit more money and take the pro version. In addition, I believe that the difference in the rear camera is not negligible either, because the 5x optical zoom is a great advantage compared to the "ordinary" Google 9 . I am 100% sure this will be my next phone 😊 .

google design team dont understand that polish/chrome metal is just not the way to go... after 4 iterations, they still stubbornly stick to polished metal.... im sure they use these phones too, have they never observed how easy the polished metal scuffs or how greasy it can get after using the phone for a bit?... gosh.

Best description every thanks uncle, Google-Samsung chipset. The rubbish Exynos 2400 which Google claims as Tensor G4 😅😅 waste of money and time. Anything with an Exynos chipset is a pure rubbish. Wait and see the countless problems with those rubbish phones, over heating, glitchy, laggy, super slow 🦥 charging and 2 weeks later 4 hrs batter life with normal use 😅 it's a shame that the company who owns the Android OS makes the worse Android phone in the Milky Way Galaxy.

I've ordered the 9 pro. To be honest I would have went with the XL only my current Samsung is 6.6 screen and I find it tricky to use one handed so the screen size was actually a big point for me to consider every phone I've ever got the screen has got bigger until now

thank you the detailed photo comparison and explanation of the pro functions. i think the pro is worth the extra money for the substantial zoom in effect, i just wish they had teh same color choices as the regular pixel 9

Pixel 7 owners and just upgraded one to the Pixel 8 after a year of use. Why you ask… well our service provider here in Canada keeps offering the previous gen for no money out of the pocket as long as you keep it for a couple of years. So next year we will upgrade the other Pixel 7 to the 9. Btw the Pixel 7 is still a power house. Only reason we still have one pixel 7 is it was replaced after 11 months with a new 7 because of dodgy vibration when ringing also a new12 month warranty.
