You have to respect Fr. Felipe as he is humble and not afraid to say what must be said, which is what Christ and the Saints say. ☦️ 💜

He that believeth and is baptized is saved he that believeth not is damned. We baptized in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus.

Saying Matt 3:11 and Romans 6:3 trumps needing baptism with water is more wild protestant interpretive dance with scripture. God himself taught, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” (John 3:5)

Ooo my God what could we say to Saint John the Baptist And much more what would we say to our Jesus Christ who God being was baptised ! God the Son of God himself was baptised !

Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Baptism by the Spirit into Christ trumps water. (Matt 3:11; Roman 6:3) according to the Apostle Matthew and Paul.

Who is Cabasias? And, why is he right?

How do i know Cabasias will be in heaven?

If I get to heaven, will I not have already known by then what is necessary for salvation? Or, did God not give us even the minimum necessary information for our salvation, although He sent His son to die for us?

Why should I believe your interpretation of Cabasias? Or, perhaps, Cabasias changed his mind later... by what authority do you make these claims? If you have sufficient authority, why bring in Cabasias? Did Cabasias give you the authority?

Baptism is the public proclamation an individual follows Christ.

Very solid argument lol.
As an orthodox, you just need to try a bit harder.

You know Jesus said it explicitly in the Bible, right? No need to read Saint Nicholas ...

I don’t care if it’s a street preacher or st Nicholas whoever, saying that you have to do anything to earn your salvation is blasphemy. It’s not just a Protestant ideology, it’s a biblical ideology and we can only receive his GIFT by trusting in what he did for us.
