I had a gout attack and didn't know what it was, so I went to the doctor (I thought I had broken my left big toe, NOPE..it was Gout. I was given some medicine that I don't remember the name, but all I know is that I had a strong reaction to it. I called the Doctor the next morning and advised her of what had occurred, and that I would not continue with the ...Medicine..LOL the medicine was worse than the gout.
I have a high tolerance for pain, so I just dealt with it. SO, I did some research and read a ton of white papers from different Med. schools including herbalists.I learned quite a bit.

Now I don't have any more occurrences of GOUT..Period!

Lifestyle change, I don't eat any animal products, or Dairy of any king. I also gave up drinking any alcohol, didn't drink that much anyway.

I found out that drinking Dark Beer like pale ale, and drinking dark sodas does not help your Kidneys. Dark cola has Phostpahe ugh!

So when you combine Purines with beef for example... you get the reaction of gout.

I have a glass of filtered water with the Juice of 1/2 lemon, and I also eat the lemon...on an empty stomach almost every morning, I used to do that way back in high school to stay healthy during the winter (I wrestled). I've not had a Gout attack in over two years and I eat a lot vegetables that are high in purines, however, I don't suffer the gout.

LEMON and the Juice is Alkalizing

Thank you for this show. You have helped me immensely with my stage 3a ckd, and the honor is with your viewers to have the good fortune of this show. My humble request is some insight on the risks and benefits of fish, particularly those with high omega 3s like salmon. Thank you again.

Thx Dr Hashmi and Michelle for clarifying the frontiers between CKD and gout/uric acid.

I never had gout until I was transplanted. Since my kidney transplant, I have to be very careful not to eat anything high in purine's or to consume refined sugar or anything that contains hfcs.

@plantbasedkidneyhealth. Can you talk about exercise for people with CKD 3A. Everyone is talking about nutrition what about exercise.? Does exercise increase creatine and is that bad for kidney health.

I am mainly vegan, so no animal meat, no alcohol, also don't take sugers so no corn syrups. Also don't drink fruit juices. I take nuts and seeds, soy, legumes and grains mainly. Still uric acid stays at 8 . Any idea wat could be the reason. Got regular renal tests done. All parameters under control except uric acid.
