How we Make Prime Rib like a Restaurant Does on our Masterbuilt Gravity XT | Step by Step
Today's show is all about the Prime Rib and how we make it just like a restaurant. Best of all, we do it all outside on our Masterbuilt Gravity XT.

Ingredients:

Custom Rub:
2 parts 16 mesh black pepper
1 part kosher salt
1 part granulated garlic
Fresh Herbs (Wet Mixture):
2 TBS rosemary
1 TBS thyme
4-5 cloves garlic
1 stick unsalted butter
Prepared horseradish
Preparation:

Chop Herbs: Coarsely chop the fresh rosemary, garlic, and thyme.
Melt Butter: Melt 1 stick of unsalted butter.
Combine: Add the chopped herbs and garlic to the melted butter.
The Recipe:

Separate Bones: Partially separate the bones from the prime rib.
Season Inside: Add some rub and wet mixture to the inside of the bones. Close up.
Season Outside: Apply the dry rub followed by the wet mixture to the exterior of the prime rib. Let it rest. Tie up if needed.

Cooking:
Preheat: Preheat the oven or grill to 225°F.
Cook: Place the prime rib in the oven or grill and cook at 225°F until the desired internal temperature is reached.
Turn: Turn the prime rib 2 hours into the cook for even cooking.

Hell yeah, Tommy! I love cookin prime rib, and yes, definitely horseradish. It's not prime rib without horseradish. Rare to mid rare is perfect. This looked absolutely delicious. Have a great weekend, brother. 🍻🍻

Hell yeah Tommy, this is exactly how i do it besides ive never tried the horseradish during the cook, and i always do a 3 day dry brine in fridge uncovered on a rack with pan under, i think the 3 days really makes an incredible difference in the outcome with both the color/crust and just the aged flavor without actually aging it and losing meat youd have to shave off. But the butter and herbs rub is always my go to for sure.
