MelissaJo I have never cooked a rib roast at home. I often wondered how to do it. It's just my husband & I (empty nesters). I would need to have one cut much smaller. I will try your recipe. We love garlic. Thanks for sharing.

Use a longer carving knife and you won’t’ need to worry about carving. 20” serrated is best for the carving but non-serrated works well too.

This looks great! I made one following the Lawry's The Prime Rib restaurant recipe. I will try this one.

Pretty much exactly how we do ours except I do ours on the grill, over a huge cast iron pan on a rack. A small roast (5 bones or less) I will do on a rotisserie! You great an awesome crust that way!
Your carving will be easier if you use a longer knife! And super sharp of course!
