John MacArthur: MODERN DAY MIRACLES??

Dr. John MacArthur is—far and away—America’s greatest Bible teacher. In 2015, I had a burning desire to understand what the Bible really meant, however, everywhere I searched, all
I found was grossly undereducated men who called themselves “preachers” or “pastors” who were chiefly interested in:
1. Making money
2. Gaining popularity
3. Spreading a false gospel

It was quite obvious to me they had very little Biblical knowledge.

MacArthur, on the other hand, has a vast knowledge of the Bible and goes to great pains to explain it so articulately. I can honestly say that he changed the direction of my life. I am forever grateful to find such a wonderful teacher. Therefore, I’ve created this YouTube channel in order to propagate his accurate and thorough Biblical teachings.

God miraculously healed me while praying one night during covid days. I had developed some strange case that even made it difficult and dreadful to sleep. As I prayed, the presence of God came on me strongly and sent me into sudden sleep. From that day till today, I can safely point to that miracle that the Lord has done. I sadly but strongly beg to differ. I respect John MacArthur very much and he is a good Bible Scholar of our times. This being said..."He is absolutely incorrect about this". I live and minister in India and we witness genuine medically established healings very frequently. When people are sick and have no plan B to fall back on and they believe that "by His stripes we are healed ..."where God comes and does the miraculous. I could go on and on and even upload before and after CT scans and medical diagnosis of people who were miraculously healed, I am talking about believers but that still would be futile for some.

I prayed Psalm 103, Matthew 7:7-11, James 5:13-16 in front of and for someone who was paralysed down one side of his body, he couldn't walk, was carried by two people. Jesus healed him within 3 weeks and he was running.
An 85 year old lady with a very serious eye affliction, suffered for 2 years with it. Sometimes it would get better but it always came back. I asked her if she would like prayer. She said you only have to pray once. Jesus healed her within 10 days. I then prayed for Jesus to heal her from dementia. He answered my prayer with a very significant symptom of dementia healed.

Jesus is coming soon. This is the only thing that’s keeping my life together. My only hope is that he comes sooner than later. He is my salvation Jesus keeps me going. I will never stop trusting in him, Like so many others, I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. I’m waitressing but not making nearly enough to make ends meet. Even though I’m struggling putting groceries in my refrigerator, and paying bills. I will trust in Jesus. My husband died years ago. I’m a single mother with two children both of my sons are autistic. Every month is a struggle, to not end up on the streets. I will continue to call upon Jesus. I have faith God will provide. He HAS THIS FAR. I’m thankful I HAVE GOD, and Jesus. With God all things are possible.

A new Christian and had not yet learned about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God choose to use me to minister to this man whom by chance I ran into him and he ran up to me hugging me and telling me how he was restored to his faith after his encounter with the Holy Spirit in me, don't tell me God doesn't still do miracles!!!

Jesus still heals today friends. He is a healer. Do not ever let your faith be shaken. God is good and James 5:14-15 is relevant today. Be aware that God also uses sickness. Either Grace to get thru this life and your new body or healing miraculous healing now. Whatever God’s will is not your own…Praise the Lord!
My broken back was healed in a (non-denominational) church service in 2007.

Nope. I Had stage four Lymphoma. Have a Video of Doctor saying to me it is amazing how much cancer you have and we didn’t catch it.” Then we prayed and 2.5 months later I have another scan (with video), shows me cancer free. Miracles still happen. God is still moving. Maybe you need to seek and ask where the Father wants to move

God still heals today! Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. No, we don't base our faith in Jesus on healings and other miracles, because the Word in enough. However, make no mistake, God is STILL doing the work of his father, through willing and submitted vessels. I want ALL his has for me and I will not settle for the traditions of men. God is BIGGER! <3

I love and deeply respect Pastor John. There is however a reference/instruction to the church about healing:

James 5:14-15

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Many modern evangelicals have regrettably made a mockery of the manifestation of God, but I believe that God is still in the miracle business.

I would have to see the rest of this sermon to really get a grip of where he is coming from and how loosely he defines miracle.
That said, I would not look to or for miracles, I would not build any foundation of faith upon them, but I would not exclude them entirely. I greet these things with much skepticism, but again, it depends on what and how extreme one defines miracle.
A miracle in the sense of instant healing like Jesus and the Apostles performed, yes I would be incredibly skeptical receiving word of it second hand. God working circumstances to just the right time and place and people to fill needs or act or whatever "coincidence" that initiates physical intervention or change of heart/mind, that type of miracle I have seen so much in so many degrees and intensities that yes I believe in that and KNOW it to be the direct working of God's sovereignty.

I have been given signs and indications of directions to go before in life, but time and error has taught me that these are only complimentary or supplemental to the Christian walk of submitting and surrendering will to God and what God makes blatantly obvious, also that He will sustain me in maintaining the path rather than myself trying to make what was revealed come true.

MacArthur says "No instruction given to the church about healing." Are you kidding me? Read James 5:14-15 It is a very clear instruction given to the church about healing.
