The woman with the issue of blood touched THE HEM of Jesus garment in faith that she would be healed, Jesus did not touch her. Jesus told her that her faith made her whole.

One problem that many people have is a clear definition of healing and miracles. Miracles are not long shot situations that turn out well. They are otherwise impossible works with no explanation but God's power.

I'm no MacArthur fan either, but this video wreaks of pride.

Edit: we should all aim to be Bible nerds. Shame on anyone that dunks on folks that consistently refer back to the Scripture. It is the Word of God, if theres anything to be a nerd about, it's His Word.

I did not grow up recognizing the differences between Cessationism and Continuationism until this last year.

Only until recently did I realize the contrast.

That being said, I've grown up my whole life believing that God is capable of healing and miracles, but only until recently has that actually hit home in a big way.

It's very humbling to be able to pray for someone and see them healed of something they've struggled with for 10 years...

Just being able to be apart of that process has changed me forever, and made me realize we should be a people of prayer way more then we currently are.
Both listening to the Lords leading, as well as praying over people boldly.

Being apart of that process is also way different then being on the outside looking in, and wondering if people were faking it.
And yes, I am guilty of being a skeptic at times and wondering if people were being honest in their testimonies.

Funny how reformed teachers/followers are arguably the most vocal when calling out bad theology, but you call out JM and they'll all defend him no matter what. Complete double standard and I think Ruslan has been pointing this out more and more lately.

Im a very big fan of JM but his theology at times is not scriptually sound. I just thank God that I don't rely on men to find truth I rely on Holy Spirit to me guide to all truth. This video just shows how we need to humble ourselves daily and allow God to guide us in Spirit and in truth.

I think both sides of the conversation missed something. What MacArthur is saying mostly true. The handkerchiefs and the shadow falling on the sick is different than what MacArthur said for sure. But even the mud on the eyes is touching. And the in that very hour or the as they went is not much of a delay. It was not days or hours or something like that. It was right after what was said or what ever touch or passing by etc. I will not point a finger at MacArthur too much because alot of healing services doesn't result in a paralytic walking or something like that. But even then I am not a sessionist because I just don't know much about healing. I'm close to some Calvary Chapel guys and I have heard about one healing that happen through prayer and laying of hands of an older man in a wheelchair. Chuck Smith talked about it and was the one who prayed for the man. I also heard about a preacher elsewhere who lost his voice for years. As a result he stepped down from the ministry tried doctors and nothing. One day he was asked to fill in for someone in a small bible study group on the topic of healing and it was recorded his voice was very low and raspy but at the end of his message you begin to hear his voice changing becoming clearer and clearer. I don't know either of these people but I am reluctant to deny their claim.. And at the same time I believe there are charlatans that fool people. And yet God's glory includes healing miracles signs and wonders. I do believe that they confirmed the ministries of prophets and apostles and of Jesus identity etc. I am disabled and I have been to a few healing services and I was not healed but God's name is still everything that can biblically be attributed to him. Father Savior Spirit of truth healer etc...
