Is Provisionism Anti-Reformed?

James White confronts Leighton and Provisionism, once again, on his most recent Dividing Line broadcast. White continues to attempt to remove the universality of God's expressions of love and provision for all people, contrary to what some other Calvinists teach in reference to these passages (ie the two wills of God approach).

I enjoy Dr. Flowers explanations and teachings. He is a Simple Smart man and this is why I believe these men always attack him. They know he is smart, but he delivers the truth on a level that even a simple person can understand. They sit in their ivory towers of intellectualism and can’t understand how “simple Flowers” does it. That’s the problem, in spite of how deep the gospel is it is meant to be simply understood. God loves all, God died for all, and God can save all. Thank you Dr Flowers enjoy your ministry.

I love how White feels compelled to say "Sola Gratia" as if saying things in Latin (Ironically enough...) will lend power to his concept of the phrase.

It's almost like he views Latin and Greek phraseology as some kind of incantation.

I find it ironic that Calvinist tend to accuse those Christians who hold to an Early Apostolic teachings as being Roman Catholic. This blind accusation is far from the truth as the Apostolic teachings predates Augustine and the Roman Catholic institution he founded. Augustine created the vacuum that exists between what was originally taught and that what was added and replaced in Church doctrine.

Ah yes, when Calvinists try to put themselves on the right side of history by giving (or implying) the dichotomy, "You're either Calvinist or Catholic." Let's just ignore all of Eastern Orthodoxy, Asian Orthodoxy, the Coptic Christians, the former Muslim who decided to read a Bible instead of burning it, and a good number of the people who watch this channel.

That opening clip from James White is bizarre in that James appears to have no sense of how ugly and un-Christlike he's being. It creeps me out to think of the rationalizations necessary to function under such blindness. Yikes.

Talent, abilities comes from God according to the measure He gave to each man in His divine wisdom. But what each man chooses to do with his given abilities and talents whether for good or ill, God has left that free choice to each man.

Leighton, remember what Paul said in Ephesians. We don't fight against flesh and blood. James White seems to think he is fighting against you or the provisionist system, but he is fighting with the scriptures. He is wrestling with God.

I dont know why james white has to deliberately misrepresent his opponent so much. The only thing I can think of is that he has a bruised ego for some reason that is getting in the way of a good defense.

Calvinism is not Reformed. the Protestant Reformation removed works from salvation but Calvinism is an entirely different cult which attempts to remove Faith from salvation. Calvinism is not part of the Martin Luther Protestant Reformation doctrine.

There is no question about the fact that Dr. Diatribe is quite the strawmanmaster. To claim that Flowers is pro Roman Catholic because of his calling to reform Calvinism is pathetically ridiculous.
