I’ve drank a gallon of water everyday for the last week. Waking up at 5:30am to workout. Reading books. This week I’ve read Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I both live and pray with intention, demanding the life I will attain. Thanks for this video as an added push

2:15 "You are a reflection of the five people you spend the most time with." Wow, I'm going to have to meditate on this now!

Big stress on #4. I was on the fastest track down the road of self improvement last year, a lot of people in my life began to call me crazy and not understand me. Over time, it can really get to you when the people you care about constantly call you crazy. We’re social creatures and our natural instinct is to conform and fit in. I wasn’t able to hold onto it and eventually watched myself become ‘normal’ again.

I’m not doing that now.

I understand what’s being said and I wholeheartedly support it. In fact, in the last 10 days I’ve changed aspects of my life that will see me lose weight, increase my already established fitness, both of which will assist my mental health. The problem I have is how to keep these standards high, when Govt’s in my country, Australia, continually take us in & out of Covid lockdowns & curfews, put travel limits on us, threaten us with mandatory vaccinations, fine us heavily for the slightest breaches and expect us to just accept what they demand. They aren’t losing a day’s, weeks or months pay, losing their business & entire home situation, being crippled with debt, dealing with children suffering with dire mental health issues that they shouldn’t even be aware of at such young ages!

I think a big thing to mention with setting goals and achieving them is to set action based goals not achievement based goals. Setting the goal to go to the gym 5 days a week is something you can show up and do but winning a body building contest relies on much more than showing up and this is where I see a lot of people go wrong. They set achievement goals then have no idea how to achieve it and end up not taking the appropriate action.

The cornerstone is Step 1. However, you have to understand that your "chief aim" is a profound thing. It has to be what you NEED to do in life rather than what you want to do or desire to do or what would be cool to do. When your need is known, the other steps will mostly fall into place naturally. The less you know about what you need to do, the more you will have to concentrate on steps 2-5. So focus mainly on what you need to do with your life. If you are concentrating too much on steps 2-5, it probably means you aren't firm about step 1.

On #1 with repeating "Chief Aims" morning and night, writing them (or goals) can often be a better practice for some people as they will then have physical proof (and reminders) of having done it, though it does take a bit longer. I prefer writing it personally because then I get a nice little stack of notebooks that slowly accrues more over time to further reinforce the importance of the goals written down in the present and future.
Point #5 is probably most crucial as it is a base layer to #1-4. If you can't say no, get really good at that. Not so much be how Jim Carrey's character was at the beginning of the movie Yes Man of literally saying no to everything immediately, but being unapologetic after reflection of a new given "opportunity" and being able to stick to what guns you want to stick to. Remember that everything is an opportunity cost.
Great vid and thank you TAoI for this service.

Forget anything, everything, not only other people, but also yourself.
Just focus on your goal and break it down, and take action and resolve it every day.
You will succeed inevitably.
Because nowadays, success just means build some thing valuable, and everybody can build something valuable when insist.

The default design comparison is gold. It is quite difficult to design your life when you were born into a default family. The relatives and your own siblings and father might push you to have a normal life even after you proved your worth like a million times. And the video suggest to let them go, but the desi therapists suggest to keep them closer since family matters above all!!!
