How to forgive yourself and move on (YOU CAN'T)

Do you want to know how to forgive yourself from past mistakes? Is it possible to forgive yourself? Do you ask yourself "how can I forgive myself"?

You can't, and it's not.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that you can forgive yourself.

And that's actually a good thing.

You see, we can't forgive ourselves because we don't OWE an account to ourselves.

We owe an account to the God who created us in His image.

And, thankfully, He provided a way through the sacrifice of His son on the cross to pay for our sin in full.

In other words...

To cancel our debt!

So don't try harder to forgive yourself. It'll get you nowhere.

Instead, seek God, ask HIM for His forgiveness through Jesus, and freely receive the forgiveness that He paid a high price to give to you.

There's a difference between forgiving yourself, and BEING forgiven by creator and also the ones you hurt . I am currently struggling with this. I must forgive myself to move forward, holding myself accountable, learning from, and changing into a better version of myself.Even if im never forgiven by anyone else. I will humble myself . Not to grow would be an insult to life itself, to the ones I've harmed and to our creator. imo

I just realized that the Bible doesn’t mention one time about forgiving yourself, or even about how to forgive yourself! It only talks about forgiveness for one another, and forgiveness from The Most High. But NOTHING about forgiving yourself! That’s what brought me here! 👏🏽👏🏽

only God forgive sin but forgiving your self means let go of the past and aloud God to work in your life if you hold on to the things you did in the past it means your not fully trusting the Lord

Once you have truly repented, ask for God’s forgiveness or truly confessed your sins. You. Never forget, but you have to forgive yourself. You are accepting Gods forgiveness. The Devil is wanting you to dwell upon not accepting God’s forgiveness. When the Lord forgives us, we grow stronger.
When we do not forgive ourselves, we are not able to receive that grace. We are dwelling in our weakness if we are not forgiving ourselves.

If one is inspired to forgive themselves and that works, which means the body/mind relax(es) and there is a relief. It is simply a matter of perspective, either way, that is the Will of God at that moment. So, forgiving oneself is directly derived from God's forgiveness, but each one sees it from a different angle. Just like God is seen and named... differently by everyone.

Hey man, I like your messages a lot, but this could negatively affect someones walk. For a long time I wasnt able to forgive myself but could ask for it. That only leads to shame instead of Godly guilt. Shame is an identity, Godly guilt is the conviction that leads to repentance. If we wear shame and are unable to forgive ourselves it will only lead away from God. Of course I totally agree with what you're trying to say and we should seek forgiveness from the ones we hurt and more importantly God Himself. Just wanted to share the rest.
