Passionate, Idealist, and a hopeless romantic – words that would probably best describe an INFJ in love. They are dreamy and kind of a perfectionist when it comes to romantic relationships. They like an open, serious but gentle kind of relationship. Being the rarest personality type, they find relationships quite late in life as well. They are often disappointed and disheartened by the world and its standards. This is why they like to create their own and make sure they also follow this standard.

Often misunderstood by many, judged by some, and wanting to fit in somewhere, the INFJ would sometimes think that maybe love is not just for them. They begin to think that maybe they should just set or invest their emotions less on people but on things that would not hurt them. They like to try and blend in but most of the time, they fail. They like to give love a shot but are too scared. Love may be a hard thing to accomplish for an INFJ but with an INFJ beside them too, what could go wrong?

BINGO! My wife and I are both INFJs. Before we met each other, we were married to other people who were pretty much our opposites, and both of those marriages failed miserably. So my wife had pretty much given up on men, and I had kept on repeating the same mistake of seeking an opposite type person. And, of course, all of those relationships failed, as well. Then a mutual friend introduced us, and it was weird at first. I felt very much like I was dating myself, really. But after a few months I realized how incredibly lucky I was to finally be dating myself! Long story short, we have been together for almost 18 years. Yeah, INFJs, if you can find another INFJ, latch on and don't ever let go.

I am a INFJ-A and she is an INFJ-T. There was an instant connection I felt, like I was filling up all the criteria. "I have such a long list of things I want in a partner that it's like I want to date myself." It has taken me 28 years to find one INFJ in the real world through personal interactions. So far, it is the most blessed thing to have. "This is our home" "You are me" "I am you". We have our differences as a T/A pair; but, I'd say this is by far the most love and connection and respect I have ever felt for someone! I hope all INFJs find happines.

Married to another INFJ for 20 years. We are a perfect yin and yang but it took a few category 5 storms (we were still trying to just understand ourselves at the time) before we could fully find our balance. We have found that though we are the same we are also opposites (only enough to complete the full yin yang symbol). It can be a horrible experience at times as 2 powerful energies try to intertwine like magnets but if each INFJ is willing to trust and communicate then the magnetic storms will flip and the 2 energies will link together. I would do everything again to have what we have now.
