This shows a reflection of who Light used to be before he got the Death Note. An innocent, good man, part of me even wished he'd stay like that

I know that Soichiro is acting in this scene but the line "From one murderer to another, I'll see you in Hell" is one of the coldest lines in the series

This is one of the most tragic scenes in the series.
Here we get to see that before the Death Note corrupted them both Light and Misa where good innocent people.
Sometimes we forget that for as many people that Light killed and for all the horrible things he did
Light was a victim to. In fact he was both the first and last victim in the series

Scenes like this are what make Death Note a 10/10 in my opinion.

Is the same as: “It’s only matter of time before i get rid of the police”

This is genuinely the most stressful scene in the show

Notice how Chief Yagami's outfit in this scene is shaded blood red. They were really driving home the seriousness of this scene for the emotional suspense, even if it was a bluff.

1:00 might actually be the coldest line in all of anime. Had genuinely no reason to go as hard as it did.
