The Serapeum stands alone as some of the best proof of advanced ancient engineering and technology that existed deep in antiquity, and that we cannot attribute to the dynastic Egyptian civilization, great as it was.

This is chapter 2 of a multipart series taking an in-depth look at the mysteries and clues to a more ancient human past at the Serapeum of Saqqara.

In this video I examine the number and type of boxes at the Serapeum, the stone types and hardness, and also look at the machining marks still left on some of the boxes.

If you are interested in hearing arguments that disagree with Ben's perspective I highly recommend the channel "Ancient Presence". They have done a wonderful job in showing that these claims just simply don't hold up to scrutiny. In a respectful and open-minded manner I must add. This is possibly the most interesting and useful look at the theory of an older civilization that I have seen. You are right. When you look at the boxes and then the writing on them it is completely different. It reminds me of crayon drawings comparatively or as you said graphity. It is as though someone said how boring it could use some decoration or lets use it for x instead. Thanks

I went to see for myself and this was because of you Ben, and I was not disapointed. when you look at these boxes and the very small broken box of the Kings chamber, you realise, we have not got a clue who did this. Great video. Mind bending site. If I was to have a guess at their function I'd think some sort of storage units for what is anybody's guess, maybe something corrosive and dangerous in nature based on their size. I don't think they were for bulls anyway and most certainly pre dynastic. Your points on their composition and questions on their construction techniques are really spot on. They are literally impossible to build based on the tech we're told Egyptians had, copper etc. Keep it up, look forward to the next videos.

To really appreciate this video and the workmanship that went into building these boxes, people should view the videos of modern day factories that build granite inspection tables for industry.
Those boxes were made utilizing sophisticated, precise machines.
