9:09 actually, when cats show their belly, it means they trust you and feel safe around you. Their belly is their soft spot, so thats why most cats dont like to be pet there just in case 😃 (unless they rlly trust u to be around them, then they'll roll over and let u pet them)

a cat rolling over does not mean it wants to scratch you it means they trust you and you petting their belly(their weak spot) means you are betraying them not the other wasy around

Fun fact: Cats roll over and show their belly because they trust you. It's not cause they want belly rubs, and it's *not* a trap. We just misinterpret what they're doin.

Update: more info, cats usually go for bellies when fighting eachother, due to the soft flesh of their belly, so they may see this as a sign of agression sometimes

The part about cats showing their belly being a trap isn’t entirely true. If a cat shows its belly around you that means it trust you enough to let its guard down.

Edit: this is a side note, you have two options if a cat you don’t know/is a neighborhood cat shows you it’s belly, 1. Wait for it to roll back over 2. Try to scratch its cheek/fav spot (if accessible)
