I like dogs a lot. I like cats a lot. Are any of them going to be in my house? No, because I live on a farm and I need my cats to eat mice, and my dog for herding and standing guard.

Cats are financially takes less to maintain, but dogs can also be a standing guard within your domicile while cost more.
But cats can be beneficial to hunt down pests within your housr, such as rats, mice, etc.
While dogs can scare off uninvited visitors, the chance of that happens are quite slim.

The better title would be, “What pet is best for you, cat or dog?” I’m not hating on dogs or cats because I like both of them, but the title seems a little misleading.

I have 2 cats now but I've always been a dog guy. My first cat changed my outlook on cats. She's so sweet and even cuddles and comes to me when called. Both animals are equally fantastic.
