In a nutshell:

What Happens To Your Body When You Swim Every Day Swimming is good for the body, mind, and soul. Swimming is a cardio exercise, but unlike running or biking, it`s a total body workout, working your head to tea and burning serious calories. But did you know exactly what happens to your body when you swim every day? One popular benefit of swimming is that it reduces stress, which we will dig deeper, later on, so don`t go just yet. In this video, we broke down the good effects (and some risks) of swimming every day on your body.

Like other muscles in the body, the heart gets stronger the more you work it. This is why aerobic exercises like running that cause your heart rate to go up are good for cardiovascular health. Swimming also elevates your heart rate and gets it pumping. By doing this daily, you can notice your resting heart rate has lowered.

And the stronger your heart gets, the less work it has to do when at rest to keep your body functioning properly. If you make it an hour of swimming a day, that`s 15,000 calories burned in a month. What many people don`t know is that swimming is a good exercise if you want to stay lean and improve your muscle tone. If you just dedicate yourself to swimming daily, then imagine how toned your muscles would be.

These days, the tiniest of things can cause our stress levels to spike up. Thankfully, you can reduce stress by swimming. Aside from making you feel less stressed, swimming can also reduce the release of stress hormones just like other forms of cardio. Swimming every day doesn`t just benefit you physically, but also mentally.

In addition to reducing the release of stress hormones, swimming also helps in the production of feel-good hormones. Endorphins act as the body`s natural painkillers, while also helping ward off stress, anxiety, and depression. It`s crucial to ensure that your blood pressure levels are stabilized. Unfortunately, these days, nearly half of the adult population has high blood pressure or hypertension.

But by incorporating swimming into your daily routine, you can help lower your blood pressure. In fact, swimming daily has been shown to lower blood pressure in hypertensive adults. Another benefit of swimming daily is that it helps you sleep better. Remember swimming encourages the body to release feel-good hormones while also reducing stress hormones.

And so, with just 30 minutes of aerobic exercise, you can notice an improvement at bedtime. Swimming is excellent at improving lung capacity and efficiency. According to experts, swimming can significantly affect your blood sugar by controlling it for days hitting the pool. In other words, a diabetic who swims on Saturday can still see the blood sugar benefits on Monday.

I am a newbie in swimming and learning it at the age of 30. For those 5 months currently that I am hitting the pool I am seeing only positives. I work on a chair. My back and my waist hurt after prolonged sitting sessions. My pains go away instantly as soon as I hit the pool and start exercising. As it's said in the video - I feel better overall. No depression, no self-destructive thoughts, no stress. I feel relaxed, confident and... really tired sometimes :D . I lost significant amount of weight because of swimming. Ofc I started eating better foods and started moving more between the swimming sessions. Getting my Multipsort card and booking myself to swimming lessons s the best gift that I made to myself in recent years and to be honest I am addicted to it. I don't skip swimming sessions or learning sessions involving swimming. The only negative side to swimming personally is that my nose is constantly running. Besides that - nothing else. If you want to feel good - start swimming.

To resolve dry skin and hair damage I use olive oil, coconut oil and raw Shea butter, before swimming and after showering. Work pretty well.

I have been doing water aerobic for one year now and now my coach is challenging me to do laps and weights in the water. It's great therapy and look forward to doing it everyday for 1 hour a day. I'm 60 and my blood results just came back all is great. I'm liking my body how it's getting toned.

Swimming is my absolute favorite exercise. I learned it when I turned 36.
Unfortunately during covid most of the pools were closed, and I turned to jump roping for the past 2, 5 years. And it's just getting too comfortable to work out at home 🫣.
But I still miss the pool dearly.

Thank you for the information. I have been swimming since I was 4 years old and my oldest son learned to swim before he could walk. I agree 100% that swimming is the best way to stay fit. Still, one should always listen to one's body.
