This is actually not uncommon in corporate Sales, many law enforcement agencies, and the entire US Military. I did not realize how unfamiliar you guys are with this 🤷🏽‍♂️

I am not trying to personally attack you guys with beards. I wasn’t aware that you guys had such an emotional attachment to your facial hair. If I thought having a beard would give me a stratigraphic advantage, I would grow mine back out too.

I honestly want you guys to whatever make me you happy with your face hair. 🙏🏾

I don’t work in sales, I work on a horse ranch but I try to keep up with my appearance every day. I’m well shaven, and make sure my jeans and collared shirt are nice and ironed every day as well. From a young boy my parents raised me to do so, because a first impression is everything and you never know who you might meet.

Being clean shaven is nothing new idk why guys are upset. I worked at one of the best restaurants in Beverly Hills and we had to be clean shaven every day. The higher you go up the more little things like appearance matter.

While military does require you to be clean shaved, majority often grow out their beards when they are out. It’s like a sign of achievement for many

Tbh the US military parallel isn’t really what you think it is: the military started requiring people to shave because it creates a better gas mask seal, non-combat arms had to start shaving too to maintain uniformity. If uniformity among sales personnel increases sales then it makes sense, but if uniformity isn’t a factor then I don’t think it impacts trustworthiness enough to warrant a business-wide standard.

Ok, wow, Evidently, Alot of ppl are emotionally attached to their facial hair . I think 🤔 facial hair is fine. HOWEVER, GUYS I think you know what Brandon Carter is talking about! Don't be trying to rock a Scratchy NECKBEARD. If U rock a goatee, then make sure it's trimmed to perfection. If U Rocks a full beard, please make sure it's trimmed and neat. Being shaved or trimmed on your beard shows the client that you took a little extra time to prepare your appearance! Selling on zoom is like selling on TV, your client is only getting a head shot. Now, selling in person is IN person sales, you can look like Sasquatch! But in person sales if you make EYE contact, Listen to your customer, and address those needs, maybe repeat back a little bit of what they are looking for in the product or service, then you should be GOLDEN!
