Seller with 2 million in ebay sales here-- The best advice is what I call "legacy listings" . The guy that has a history of selling many of an item always goes to the front of the listings and will dominate sales. So -1 - get a product you can re-supply and sell multiples of - 2 - make it a loss leader for a while to accumulate sales numbers, then gradually raise your price

I always ignore the sponsored listings. Maybe it's just me?

Promoting items fee and then adding the 13% avg eBay selling fees you’ll be almost like donating your goods

You should not have to pay extra to promote its just another way for ebay to make more money off you.

I'm deleting and relisting the items on another different site. Sick of ebay fee's when other platforms don't make you just through so many hoops just to get something sold.

Also, another thing that helped me tremendously is activating a coupon. Helped more than I thought it would..

If everyone does not pay for promotion eBay will stop doing it.

I get the feeling ebay deliberately 'hobbles' my listings unless I pay their 'promotion boost' fee.
I don't believe all of my listings are shown despite them being seen in my list of items for sale.
I get way too many '0 views'. This never used to happen.

Me personally I scroll down get a feel for prices and will get one down the page that fit the good price margin I’ve never just bought it because it was the first ones up… I think it’s about finding the right product

When you say ebay likes when you add new items often - does it still count if you delete and relist existing items? Does Ebay know its not a brand new item being listed? Thanks!

What do you recommend if an eBay account is deactivated during. Creation. It's a business account.

Ebay buyers look for stuff with free shipping, and low cost and do not care one bit about seller issues. I once bought a Italian hand made blanket for 37 cents and FREE shipping due to a buyer making mistakes in their ads.
I have also bought all kinds of car parts for pennies on the dollar as the seller did not have a clue what the part was or what the current selling price was. Example $175 BRAND NEW alternator with FREE shipping for $30.00... Seller got the bills for 1 month selling expenses for 5, 000 items and it was well over $10, 000, shipping costs were $15, 000, actual income from selling everything LESS than $5, 000.00

how can you calculate the sell thru rate? is it ok also to delete and relist the item, this counts as listing? and what happens if I use a 3rd party app to list? it seems ebay doesn't like it

A little extra?! 😂 Crazy as hell! the time you finish paying their fees with the promotions, you are almost paying 40% to them
