The Bible itself is Catholic Tradition so there is no way that the Catholic Church is not biblical.

I look at this in steps. First step, if family or friend is ill I pray for them. Second step, if really serious, I reach out to others to pray form them too. I ask them to intercede in addition to me. Since the Lord is the God of the living, not the dead, I also ask saints to intercede too. Also, since Mary has a proven track record ... ie she asked the Lord for help and He turned water into wine. I ask her too. Cheers.

I would like to add that we are still living in the New Testament. It didn’t just end at revelations the scriptures are still unfolding and will continue to unfold until our Lord comes back.So we can’t say because we can’t say because it cannot be found necessarily in scripture that it’s automatically not true. If I have 10 minutes, 30min, 1hr to pray. I’d use every minute and every second. Every hour to pray to Jesus. He has my full attention and I’m sure that’s enough. It’s powerful enough. It’s the ultimate. I don’t care to pray to saints or Mary and I’m sure Jesus is fine with that. He is ok with me wanted to use my time and breath solely on him.

I’m fine with having asking the saints to pray for us

I just feel very uneasy with a lot of the prayers I hear

Instead of asking for intercession i hear prayer like

“St Joseph give me your strength
Or Mother Mary heal me”

That seems idolatrous to me
