Please do not get caught up by the nomenclature of the exercise categories (balance, strength, functional). I used these terms to be consistent with certain balance-specific exercise programs and many research papers, but there’s overlap between the categories.

I am currently rehabbing a fracture dislocation of my tibia at the knee. I had surgery on Feb. 26 and ended up with a nice titanium plate and 7 screws. There are some exercises in this video that my physical therapist didn't cover like, walking toe to toe and walking backward. I'll be including those in my routine. My biggest problem now is wanting to be done with it all when I'll actually be in this for the long haul. I'll likely be doing these exercises for the rest of my life.

You did not mention the useage of foampads or bosu balls. Is there absolutely no evidence of benefit for balance training? I don't use them nor am I a fan of previously mentioned equipment but a lot of pt's use them
