" I do not know" is an honest answer. Should we all just make stuff up and insist we know it is true?

Simple answer:
The big bang isnt the start of the universe, it isnt when creation started; it's simply the furthest back point in time we understand. Its like a placeholder that shows our limited knowledeg

"Atheist cannot answer this logically"
And of course a "supernatural being that created us all and "loves" us (but sends people to suffer for eternity)" is a completeley logical thing!!

If god can exist without being created, so can the universe.

Why does it have to be your god? It could be a turtle on top of a pizza just flying around the universe.

Why does it have to be god? And even more so *your* god?

This kinda helps the athiest argument, as this gives a good reason as to why humans came up with religion, to explain what they don’t know.

If we don’t know, why couldn’t it have been an invisible squirrel-tiger called Jeff? Maybe it grew from the inside of a banana? Maybe I made the universe.

If time was "created" at the big bang then the big bang cannot have a cause since causality only ever occurs within time.

Also, I don't know why there is something rather than nothing at all, I just know that postulating a god doesn't answer this question since a god would itself be something and would therefore just be pushing the question back another step.

"What created the big bang"
is the Christian equivelant of when
Atheists say "who created god".

If It's stupid when we say ours,
It's also stupid when you say yours...

God of the gaps. Classic refusal to accept "I don't know" as a legitimate and intellectually honest answer.

While this question cannot be answered by an atheist without either saying "It just exists" Or "I don't know", A theist reaches the same issue. "Why is there something rather than nothing?" "Because God made it." "Why does got exist?" at which point you reach the same problem. All systems must either have an uncaused cause or must be self referential and neither option logically points to God.

I love how the “everything has to be created by an intelligent being” argument falls apart as soon as you ask who or what made God. Then there are 12 trillion excuses and exceptions.

Answer: NOTHING, nothingness is ageless, timeless, and space less
All of existence comes from nothing
And this is totally possible in science as long as existence end in nothing

"Why can it not be god", cause you're the one who is bringing this up, you're the believer and so your job is to give evidence of the exostence of God, mine is to disprove it

Actually, we don't know that these things were created at the big bang. The big bang is not a point of creation, but one of expansion, thus time and space did exist then already, and well matter formed from energy which was also already there. Nothing there was created. There is nothing that says there was nothing beforehand. Thus this is a loaded question, and since it is in itself not logical it is silly to want a logical answer for a question that is not logical. Nest time educate yourself about cosmology and the big ban before making a fool out of yourself.

That could be said the same for “god”. Everything has had to start before, whether you’re in disbelief of it. But if he truly exists then he had to exist by something.

Edit: let me answer this question logically this time.

A collision between a force that has been created by nothing will cause a explosion of the Big Bang. As we can assume it has always existed, we can also assume that a god can exist by nothing. As the Big Bang has been around forever it will soon slowly change and explode into multiple observable universes.
