Also an atheist is someone who doesn’t believe in gods. Has nothing to do with after life’s or magical realms. That’s just your ignorance of what an atheist is. It’s a simple position on a simple topic. Buddhist are atheist and they believe in supernatural shenanigans. Just cause your an atheist, doesn’t automatically mean they are good skeptics or prevent one from having other irrational beliefs.

Your body gets buried? Nothing else happens. Now what proof do you have that you're gonna end up somewhere else after death? If you're going to say that your sacred book says it then I could write a book too. Anyone could.

As a follow on to my previous comment - religion has not PROVEN anything, it's all a coping mechanism for those that are scared of death, and that's fine, believe what you want to believe.

If you find something that puts the eternal dread to rest in your own mind and keeps you happy then all power to you. However, claiming a "faith" based argument is the truth and the right way for people to live their lives is basically belittling those who don't have the same world view as yourself and incredibly closed minded.

Believe what you want to believe and respect the belief of others, nobody knows where our consciousness goes, but the most likely conclusion is that it dies with us, learn to accept and be a better person in the one life you have rather than hoping for something once you're gone.

1) who knows what one who dies experiences but at least from a third person pov, the body ceases life functions. Just because we don't have a solid answer to the parts you want doesn't mean you can make shit up and instead can only make statements based on what actual evidence we actually have.

Religion can't prove anything they claim. Science doesn't make claims; it validates or invalidates a hypothesis through rigourous, repeated tests. But that's too complicated for religious people who think a magical being no one can prove created everything from nothing.
