To me, being friends with ex is a big no no when you're in a serious and commited relationship. Me and my partner are agreed about this issue. The past is the past meaning not being friends or still communicate with them, unless you have kid/s with them, but the communication is only for the children purposes only and my partner will know about it.
If you still have issues about it, then better to talk to your partner and being clear about it, rather being insecure and jealous!

My gf (now ex) got a BFF group, and one of them is her ex. I let them be friends, cause she has confirmed to me thousands of time that there’s nothing between them for a long time now. And me myself can’t do anything cause that’s her BFF from the very young age, so I respected their relationship. They go out together like few times a month, and ofcourse they can only go in group, not just 2 of them (she promised me this)

And, I just found out she cheated on me with that ex last week, and we broke up. I just wanna share the story, being friend with an ex maybe not that big deal, but if your intuition tells you something, and you can’t keep the thoughts that there might be something suspicious happened. Typical. Blame the girl for being untrusting rather than reprimand the guy for acting shady. John could easily have been the ex gf. So could the dinner date be with his ex. It's happened before. Trust must be earned. If you act cagey, and the partner loses trust, you CANNOT call it a trust issue.
