I am almost on the verge of giving up on myself. I am 53 and have gained a lot of weight in the last two years. I do intermittent fasting and keep the carbs low but nothing seems to work. I am sinking into depression day by day.

It was menopausal wt gain that got me into fasting, IF first. I stretched it out on my own, loved it and learned about keto ofc. So now over 20 yrs later...still doing this and loving it. Thx Dr M!

Hi Dr. Mindy! I just want to thank you for inspiring and empowering us, ladies, for not giving up on ourselves! I want to let you know that I had been going through some really awful hot flashes. I am 45. These hot flashes are short, but mightiy, and it wake me up at night, leaving me in sweat and depressed from negative thoughts, along with heart palpitations. I forgot which video I saw, where you talked about 36 :12 fast for menopause to help fight belly fat and to turn stubborn white fat into grey fat ... I want to let you know that I have been doing your advice of basically no eating 36 hours and then eat 12 for the past 3 weeks. I've noticed my hot flashes started disappearing already during the first week. Life got busy and I've just realized that my electric fan hasn't been turned on for the past 2 weeks. AND I have been sleeping through the night without 0 hot flashes. Most importantly, I am much happier, and I have not had negative thoughts. I don't know how to thank you, but .. THANK YOU! I feel like my old self again. I haven't stepped on the scale because the number doesn't matter to me. What mattered was that the hot flashes and negative thoughts disappeared. This is a lifestyle change, and no number on the satellite shall set me back. Thank you, and God bless you and your work! ❤

I'm in! I have been fasting on and off for a couple years now. I struggle with sleep, both falling asleep and staying asleep as well as waking up with strong urges to eat sugar. Have done autophagy fasting before and didn't really notice any sleep improvement but I'm willing to give it another shot.

I found your channel back in January 2023 and it was a true life changer. I’m 48 years young and menopausal. Full on. So I began a combination of keto and water fasting. I’ve lost 70 pounds so far but I’ve plateaued for some reason.
Stuck at 200 lbs, and struggling to make my goal of 150 lbs.
My hope is that your Dutch Test will provide some answers.

I lost 2st in a year and more to go 😅 love fasting, it gives me so much energy and sharpens my mind. I had slips when I was craving carbs, specially bread and I had to learn not to beat myself up for slipping down at times. For me it’s like a climbing ice mountain, I climb and I slip at times but each time I do I get stronger and learn from it .

GREAT ADVISE ! Yes I can relate to all of that almost 60 and have struggled with my weight before my 40"s but now I found you and have made so many changes but I will look more into toxins especially what I put on my body. Thanks, Just a side note you mention toxin effect hair loss could you do a video on that please.

Dutch test! I'm 75 1/2 & I weigh 103 at 5'1", & I stop eating after 6pm & have my coffee at 7 a.m., I am quite active, but I eat too many sweets so I will definitely get your book on Menopause because I don't take HRT. Thank you for all you do for us, Dr. Mindy!!!!

Dr. Mindy - I am recovering from breast cancer. Estrogen/Progesterone +, HER2 - My oncologist has me on Anastrozole. I had been post menopause for almost 20 years and did gain weight in the mid section but was able to get most of it off through intermittent fasting and cutting carbs. But, I still had estrogen - I don't have anymore. I've gained 15 pounds since taking Anastrozole. I'm miserable. I know a lot of breast cancer patients would love advice with this. What would you suggest? Thanks!!!
