I know it sucks. I'm a mom, and I've worked at pediatric hospitals. Most of the time, all that can be done is to give them medicine, try to keep them comfortable, and wait. I like that more clinics are doing virtual appointments, so you can get an opinion without leaving the house. Those long wait times have to do with staff shortage and/or a lot of those kids don't really need to be there.

Do telemedicine if you can! You’ll have a one on one with a doctor and they can determine if she really needs to be seen in office. Also, they can send medications to the pharmacy as needed. Hope she gets better 💗

Babies need to stay hydrated too. Water helps. Less juices and sodas. I hope she is feeling better by now.

She could have went to the regular doctor for the fever and vomiting. The hospitals won’t keep her unless it’s REALLY bad. And good that they don’t. Kids pick up things from others while in the hospital all the time. And RSV is CRAZY right now.

I feel you. We HAVE to go in for ANY fever. I’m that mom who’s taken straight back and get cussed by the lobby full of parents every time.
I wish I didn’t have to go straight back. My baby has cancer so she can’t sit in the lobby around other sick kids. A cold can kill her.
I would love to sit 4hr and be able to simply give Tylenol.

WTH! Those healthcare staff are crazy. If she has a fever, they should have gotten her a gown and so she can get out of those warm clothes. She needs to be cool. Keep t shirts and light clothing at home for her to put on. High fevers can cause seizures. This is fact. I know what I am talking about. Feel better little one🤗

My child had the same. It's going around. Just do the best you can and don't panic. It will pass.

I learned this with my 1st son, unless I think is an infection I don't even bother with taking them to the hospital and exposing them to other stuff in the ER, I hope baby girl starts feeling better.

Detroit Childrens Hospital ER has a 6+ hour wait time, this has been going on for months and months. It's terrible.
