Out of all of these I definitely think that reminding yourself of the "why" is the most important. I feel for me at least, my ADHD makes me run subconsciously on autopilot, so bringing my thought back to that conscious part of my psyche can get my brain to do whatever I want it to.

I literally watching this right now as I'm about to finish a cleaning job I started 2 days ago. Filming and posting my cleaning on my channel helps a lot but sometimes you need an extra boost of, "hey! Help you help yourself!" Haha great video and i subscribed!

Unfortunately, doing these "hacks" requires motivation to do them in the first place. Actually, these are standard tips that work well for people who have some procrastination problems but don't have ADHD. When you tell an ADHD person, "Do this...., " you're already on shaky ground. Got any hacks for that?

thank you sm for making this channel, I'm pretty confident that I have ADHD but for a variety of reasons, I haven't been able to get a diagnosis or ADHD-specific therapy. these videos really help a lot, especially considering the fact that I'm homeschooled and I largely have to rely on my own motivation to get my work done (which tends to be an issue considering the whole ADHD thing lol)
do you think that you're going to make a video on sensory overload? I've been struggling a lot recently with sensory overload, specifically hearing loud noises and people talking, and I'm at a bit of a loss on how to deal with it
great content as usual!!!!

Hi @adhdvision

The "Intense Break" with doing only what I like and ordering processed food is a life saver.

May I ask:

1 How often do you do this more or less?

2 Do you always do 1 full day of intense break or sometimes less or more?

Question
Can we lose that wonderful hyperfocus 'superpower' if we get more balanced?
I find myself worrying it will disappear as I progress with managing my ADHD
