Just got diagnosed last week, going for meds next week. I'm 46, and this week has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Finally feeling validated, knowing what it is, and realizing that I'm not just a loser who can't do anything right. These videos are helping me so much.

I am relating to everything these videos cover. So useful to understand the reason / cause AND find and see others that experience life similar to how I do. Such a relief to know why and that it's not just me / we're NOT alone after all.

This is so relatable. Commiting to things that are so far in advance is easy….until it gets close to that time and forgot you overcommitted. That’s why I usually am that person that gives “maybes” instead of yes, because I hate letting everyone down by not showing up. It’s super hard to explain to someone without ADHD that I am not capable of planning out my future without physical typing it in a calendar or writing it into my planner. If I don’t it slips into the abyss. So yeah, self isolation has definitely been a coping mechanism for avoiding the shame and guilt associated with being “flaky”.

I was diagnosed as a child because my mom thought I was mentally challenged lol I've learned to cope my whole life because I had to due my parent's harshness otherwise. I'm glad people are bringing awareness to how ADHD can impact people's lives and how it can be worked through. Most people I know view it as a made-up condition, or they have it & use it as an excuse for bad behavior without wanting to learn healthy coping.

Ah, self-imposed isolation. I just love being alone most of the time, mindlessly scrolling or watching TV ❤

"OMG! I must have ADHD, I thought that these were all normal things that ppl do, " That's because they are normal. You are normal. There's nothing wrong with being normal.

I can't believe how Spot On you are with ALL your videos
- It's Wild !!!
In so many ways it's EXTREMELY EHORSTING to have an ADHD Brain !!!
But I LOVE my Huge Creativity, my never ending flow of ALL TYPES OF IDEAS and actually also my Hyperactivity !!!
I actually wouldn't change being me - even though it's very exhorting to try to function 'normally' !!!

When i was a kid, my parents had me tested for ADHD, but since i didnt have the hyperactivity they told my parents i had ADD, which they didnt do anything for because it meant i wasnt a nuisance in the classroom. Now i realize i had to grow up with my own coping mechanisms for things like learning, and with increasing ADHD awareness as well as now knowing ADD is under the ADHD umbrella, i feel like a lot of the struggles i went through are a lot more common and the things i do that others thought were weird were actually my coping mechanisms in play. I do everything in this video and so much more that i now know are normal experiences, so thanks for raising awareness ❤
