This exercise always feels a but difficult to connect with - any thoughts it feels like it is an underrated exercise - I tried hand variations and that started to provide some interesting tension

Does it matter if I lay longwise or perpendicular to the bench? I see people go both ways. I just like that I can roll the dumbell onto the bench laying across. Having a mirror helps. I thought I was going down further than i was. At least trying to get my arms straight over my head now... this is a great exercise for me as pressing anything more than a pushup always aggravates my crusty old shoulders.

I know this is “dumbell pullover” but could I do this with a plate or kettle bell instead? The dumbbells I have are either too heavy or too light for me.

I dont feel anything in either my chest or my lats. My shoulders hurt like hell. I filmed myself and am doing this exact movement. What am I doing wrong??
