When you’re learning how to care for orchids you must understand that room temperature will affect its growth. Taking care of orchids gets easier when you know the optimal room temperature for orchids is 60-80℉.
There’s another hidden danger in your home or office that affects orchid care. You’ll want to keep your orchid away from vents blowing cold or hot air onto your plant.
Watering is also very important when you’re taking care of orchids. Three ice cubes, once a week, is all you need.
Another key to orchid care is maintaining your plant. Remove dried blooms and stems when necessary. Orchids blood for three months and then rest 6-9 months.
Fertilizing is critical when you’re learning how to care for orchids. Specifically, mixing your solution strength. Your 20-20-20 solution should be mixed at half strength and should only be applied when your orchid is resting with NO blooms.
Repotting an orchid is also critical to its health. Repot once a year after blooming.
