Btw I’m obsessed with the way you describe the amount of light a plant sees it makes so much sense and I’ve moved my plants and they are so happy

I only water mine once a month - I let it sit in cool water in the sink for an hour so the moss and bark can soak up the water. Then let it thoroughly drain before putting the drainage/nursery pot back into the decorative pot. My flowers last for MONTHS and are plentiful. My coworker gave me this advice as the orchid was a gift and I am a total brown thumb.

I'm saving this video because I've never seen anyone explain this so well! Thank you.

My orchid plant has 24 flowers in total! 😍 I’m so happy. All I do is water it once a week like you showed in the video and give special “orchid food” twice a month.

My family is from Costa Rica and they have many orchid species. Most grow on the trees. My mom always says that they need bright but indirect sunlight, the roots need to be exposed to light, and they need to have very good drainage. Hope this helps for those growing these beautiful plants!

My dog died about a month ago. He's my baby boy. Watching your caring videos has soothed me in grief. Thank you 🌱

A short reel of almost the complete opposite of how I take care of my orchids. And it works for you I love it. My plants looove getting watered on the crown, It's kinda like natures design but i agree! no one likes rotty crevice. Moss is completely unnecessary imo. You definitely earned a follower with this one though. Love it!!!

Your are so silly in the most very cheerful way! Also, you are HELLA helpful. I have saved quite a few babies with your tips. You have such a fun gift way of sharing plant knowledge, and it's just so enlightening. Thank you so much!

From someone who grows orchids, that is one of the best care descriptions I’ve heard!

Watching an older video of me makes me realize just how resilient you’ve been from the very beginning and it’s DAMN impressive. You also seem like a genuinely nice human, and that’s not a compliment I throw around lightly!

Thank goodness you addressed this. I have lost so many orchids. I hate a rotty crevice.

Thank you for this. My daughter got me an orchid for Mother’s Day last year and I have been doing whatever I can to keep him alive. I def need to just get drainage now. Thank you 🙏🏽
