It's so hard to make a budgie eat greens when he's already used to seeds 😩

I have them in my bedroom but I cover them and my room is dark until I get up, open the curtains and take off the blankets. I put them "to bed" around the same time every night.
On the other hand...those 2 sweethearts still won't let me touch them.

And...I believe someday I'm going to move from my current place. It will be interesting to see what happens then.🐦🐦❤❤

I know number 3 all too well. Bought a pair of budgies together, and within 2 months of owning them, one got sick. I took him to the vets and got some medication, which helped and he got better so I put him back with the other one (I quarantined the sick budgie immediately after noticing something was off), but unfortunately, his illness came back and he died a month after his medication course ended. I owned him for only 4 months, and he was only about 14 months old himself.

Thankfully, the other one is still happy and healthy at the age of 4, and he has a friend to keep him company who is 3 and they love each other very much :)

I have my budgies also in my Bedroom but my Trick is, I use a dark blanket and put it on the cage every night and darken the room. On this way they let me sleep till 11am :)

Thankfully, I've been able to change my seed-junkie bird's diet by sprinkling seeds INTO the regular food, but still where he can see it, so he has to chew his way to get into it. Now he eats all sorts of good foods, and it's great for all of us. Parsley is becoming more of a favorite then millet even for a treat.

I always wake up before by Budgie, and he's been my alarm clock. I love it.. Also, oh no about the seeds...In Poland the ONLY food is seeds, but he LOVES fresh stuff and food. So I guess I'm luckier than I thoguht!
