Totally agree about the privacy point. Especially if you're filming and posting every detail of your trip.

When I was homeless, living in my van, I would always wake up in front of the Eiffel tower, eating granola and yogurt

The worst things about Vanlife are people who join the movement just to make money and don’t actually live the lifestyle.

Drama 101. All I know is I dont pay $1200 a month rent anymore & I sleep just fine where I park. I'm calling BS!

Pretty sure that poor guy was just trying to earn his minimum wage pushing carts, he wasn’t trying to spy on you 😂

I swear ppl will always find something to be unhappy about and complain about absolutely no life style is perfect if you always focus on the negatives in life. Everything in life takes massive amounts of effort no matter what you’re doing. My first impression of this video is “oh she saw someone’s YouTube channel and thought to herself oh that looks like an easy way to have a YouTube channel and didn’t realize what she was getting into.”

It's not for women. You can't pee in a bottle in the middle of the night, and that's the biggest problem😂😂😂

My generation (1978) tried everything to make sure that they don’t end up sleeping in a car. Times changing…

The hardest part was finding where to pick up my trust fund disbursement.

Love and appreciate the honesty. But this is where you reach out to friends/family, etc. I will offer to Pay to use their driveway, water, electric, laundry. And I find that some homeowners will readily accept that deal if you rotate often (for example, maybe 2 weeks at one spot and 2 weeks with another fren). It Benefits everyone, and still you have your privacy 💜

the thing about these is that the platform is just FINALLY taking off. Most of these nomadic lifestyle had been either for hippies or retired wealthy folks. You know, unpractical folks. As for the common folk, it's just getting started for us so we are only starting to build up the amenities as well as a way of life fitting for what we are looking for with the tools available for us.

I dealt with the privacy part by buying a cargo van with no windows in the rear. There's always going to be nosy people watching you just have to not care. I also have a power station and a portable fridge so my food stays good. I usually plan my trips ahead of time where I will eat, sleep, location of gyms, roadside parks, places to eat anything I will need. Planning ahead makes a big difference.

I'm 72 yrs old and have been retired, living & traveling in a Van for years. Its not a lifestyle for everyone but for me, I feel like I'm always on vacation and I love the freedom. For me. I always know in advance where I'm parking, and most often I'm in remote areas for weeks at a time and where there's no one around so I have massive privacy.
