MicroNugget: How to Use Network Access Protection with DHCP

Показать описание
In this video, James Conrad covers a demonstration of network access protection (NAP) with dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP). The primary reason we need NAP is that a network is only as secure as its most vulnerable host, and NAP can detect and remediate non-compliance.
Network access protection is a critical consideration because, similar to how a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, a network is only as secure as its most vulnerable host. Some of the weakest points are laptops on the network, allowing guest access, and using a home network for more secure processes.
NAP can detect and remediate non-compliance with relatively little (and often zero) user action. It will restrict the network when a problem is found, specifically locking down guest access, then revert to allowing the full network to operate when the issue is completely resolved.
James will show you how to implement NAP using DHCP.
