Pimple patches really helped me not touch active acne. You're doing great!

I've been trying to also not pick at my skin since seeing your new series! I also tend to pick at my skin every time I see anything, and I'm just starting out

You've inspired a man with ADHD to TRY to stop ripping his fingernails off.
If you guessed, that man is me.
Much love from Lansing, Michigan!

A trick that works for some people! :
Replacing picking with
1. Care
2. Another, substitutable stim/fidget

1. Care - taking time to care for the skin in question. It really changes the relationship with the part of the body. So if it's the face, maybe doing some gentle, very mindful skincare, and/or lovingly applying sunscreen and/or makeup. If it's feet, then maybe a living, DIY pedicure.
2. Substitutable stim - something that can reasonably keep the hands busy. A cup of tea? Crocheting? A fidget? It depends on the person.

Olivia in these videos reminds me of Wallace and Gromit talking in the absolutely nicest possible way

Your videos encourage me to stop picking. I have been with you since day 1. Yesterday was extremely hard and I did end up scratching one spot. But I’m back today strong and keeping my hands away from my face. Thank you for the encouragement and transparency.

I failedddd BUT it was 70% less than 'normal' and my relapse was today, so that's still 5 days 95% better. Stil a win. Now I have to eh pick it up again 😂, not picking that is. Lol. Keep going, you're doing so well!

When following along with challenges like these, I just want to say if you do end up picking your skin, it’s ok! Don’t beat yourself up or think you’re a worse person or anything like that. You’re beautiful and to quote Batman or something, you fall down in order to pick yourself back up again and the challenge will be there to take up again when you’re ready! ❤

Love this journey, I have dealt with this issue for 10 plus years. Therapy helped, and while I’m not down to “zero picking”, it has reduced dramatically. My biggest tip is to frankly, get ready in the dark. Getting ready in front of a mirror was so triggering for me. Congrats on 6 days

I don't pick my skin often, but I definitely bite my nails. Day 6 has convinced me! I'm going to try the pushups method you mentioned. Thanks for sharing your journey!!!

Olivia, I to totaly understand you! So impressed by your power. 🎉 My tactic is to apply a face mask. So I treat my skin and can not constanly touch it. 😅

I highly recommend pimple patches (the circle ones are better) they make picking your skin harder and they help pimples to heal. It’s also so satisfying to remove them and then the little while part is stuck to them.

you got this! I've always struggled really bad with skin picking but this has inspired me to try a bit harder to avoid it.

girl i’m so proud of ❤❤ 6 days is definitely a accomplishment, not to mention that your skin it’s self looks a lot better and healthier

Olivia what you can do is get a cork board and get some cheap stickers from the dollar store and put the stickers on the cork board and pick at them instead of your skin. One of my teachers at my old daycare said to do that because she said that it helped her so maybe it can help you too! BTW I love all of you content and good job you are doing great at not picking at your skin keep it up!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

I think you’re absolutely beautiful, the ADHD and the skin that’s not perfect, makes you so perfect to me ❤
