My mother (don’t talk to her anymore) used to just foundation on with her hands… like moisturiser. Like, pump it into them palms, spread it around kinda deal. Shit was so thick and streaky you could curl it like butter using a knife

Brush if you want full coverage

Beauty blender sponge more better for someone with dry skin. It adds moisture, especially when we use it wet. Brush more better for someone with oily skin. It would feel patchy and so streaky if use brush for dry skin, hard to blend foundation on skin.

I use hands + a face mist. So I most face lightly, then glide foundation on my skin similar to the motion you use with a spatula. Then I tap it to blend. Gives me similar result to sponge but with less wasted product and more coverage.
