Thanks for posting this; I'm so tired of people being afraid of fruit! I eat 1-3 servings of fruit per day and have never gained any fat from it.

I don't know where fruit ever got such a bad reputation from. It's delicious and great for you, and to overeat fruit you will have to eat an insane amount of it. People probably think that because fruit has natural sugar in it (fructose) that it will make you fat. It often gets associated with high fructose corn syrup which is not the same thing. I don't eat a lot of fruit but I like to eat some after my workout and sometimes with my yogurt before bed.

On Phil Hernon's diet which consisted of only fruits and veg for carbs, I lost 7 kgs of fat and gained 7 kgs of lean mass.

Great information. Also i would add eat fruits on an empty stomach not right after a meal. The fruit digests very fast and will pass through your body and if you eat it on top of other foods it will just sit on top of the other food and ferment causing bloating and preventing getting the benefits from eating either meal.

So what in getting out of this that certain fruits sugar contents doesn't matter so much. I always stayed away from high sugar fruit because of that.
Also am I the only one who enjoys listening to the Dr talk because of that cool accent?

I eat fruit for every post workout meal along with a protein shake. Usually consist of kiwi and fresh pineapples. And I stay around 10% bf.

I'm plant based and eat about 600g of carbs a day with a good amount from fruits...i stay at about 9% BF year around. I wish people would stop being afraid of carbs. Such a myth.

to put it in perspective almost all food is good/ok for you within MODERATION . Red meat, Saturated fat, milk, eggs, chocolate, fat, carbs, protein,  and yes fruit too.

the problems usually arise when people over consume one thing consistently.

No matter what kind of carb is that. Doesn't change the fact that 1g of carb is 4 kcal. Period.

Not to be knit-picky, but you literally pick fruits that have virtually no carbs at all. These are fruits that those on Keto diets would eat.
