On February 15, 2022, an officer, accompanied by a dispatcher as a passenger, responded to a call in Middleton, WI. While driving through an intersection, he noticed a vehicle speeding toward him in the wrong direction. With no escape route due to surrounding traffic, the wrong way driver collided directly head-on with the officer. After speaking with the driver, it became evident that he was not sober.
