I just love how Ned's voice breaks and he nearly cries when talking about Jon's mother, truly breaks his heart remembering Lyanna.

We all know what happened to ned, but in season 8 when Jon visits Ned’s grave in the winter fell crypts, Sam meets him down there and tells him his true identity. In front of ned and Lyanna. Crazy Ned kinda kept that promise 😭

His mother is clearly Lyanna, you can see how Ned starts shaking and trying to hold his tears when Jon asks him about her.. You can see the pain all over his face, the promise he made to Lyanna before she died.

Nice to realize how in season 8 Jon's true parentage suddenly does not matter anymore. Best season ever

The tremble on Ned when he makes the promise. The acting is topnotch right here.

"You may not have my name but you have my blood" - I love how he was misleading Jon by implying that he was his son, yet actually telling the truth by referring to _Lyanna_ Stark. That's so subtle. He was deceiving him to protect him but at the same time he wasn't lying.
