Creme brulee’s name is from France and is the most common association with the dish, the name translates from french as “Burnt cream”

If you search it up, you’ll see that historians days crème brûlée was invented in France, but that England and Spain had similar desserts that are also as old or almost as old. The French version came before the English version, crema catalana came first. It’s fully possible that three different countries made similar recipes all on their own

Crème brûlée is from France. It is sometimes confused with Crema Catalana which is from Spain in the region of Catalonia.

here is the recipe if your slow brained like me:
-3 egg yolks.
-a half a cup of sugar if not add a quarter of sugar after the half.
-a quarter of vanilla.
-8 Ounces of heavy cream.
-heat on your stove until 180° ℉ (Fahrenheit) Carefully, slowly so you don't scramble the eggs.
-get a bowl or anything else. make sure there are no bubbles.
-get a tray and put hot water into the tray, and make sure no water gets in the custard and put in the oven at 100°℉ for 15-30 minutes
-next if it is jiggly put in fridge over night, or for 2 hours o it can set
-torch at an angel for the custard to Caramelize easily (if you don't have a torch then try a match of candle or light, if you don't have those or it didn't work then eat it like that or try another thing like buying a torch)
-last but not least, enjoy!
(your welcome!) :3

Secret that my French friend told me: use powdered sugar instead of granulated one. It will create an extremely consistent caramelized layer on top that will sound like a wine glass when you hit it with a spoon. Thank me later

I adore creme brûlée. Silky and rich and delicious. I like to use a scraped vanilla bean so it has those tiny vanilla specks. But any real vanilla is fine. thanks!
