I never thought of myself as someone who had social issues. I was always very outgoing, confident and funny around people… But that only applied when I had the situation “under my control”. In other terms, if I could present the image I wanted of myself in front of people, then I would be fine.

The moment something didn’t go as I wanted or I appeared in a “embarassing” way, I would go into severe anxiety and just want to isolate myself from the situation.

For example, I used to struggle sitting in quiet class rooms or meeting rooms at work. Simply for the reason that my stomach would just growl intensely due to the stress, and I was always worried about the way I spoke and whether or not I might be smelling.

A lot of people are secretly struggling with this issue, and we should always remind ourselves that most people really don’t care!

I've struggled with it most of my life. What's helped me lately is internalizing and basically indoctrination myself with "5 minutes after we leave, they won't be thinking about me"

Why? Because I stop thinking about people 5 minutes after they leave. And when have I ever thought anything randomly harsh about the person I just talked to? Almost never. Everyone has lives they need to get to and there's bigger fish to fry than you stumbling over your words during a convo.

It's incredibly hard out their Bros/Gals but you CAN work through it.

I feel like perfectionism is the reason for the majority of social anxiety issues. You fear messing up because you want to live up to societies standards. You see others as perfect and try to be like them but you don’t realize that they themselves don’t think they are perfect.

One thing I noticed about social anxiety is I always forget to breathe around people and I spend most of my time out of breath. And I have to retrain myself and breathe every now and then I feel like that’s most of where my anxiousness comes from. The other half is watching what I eat and drink and replace it with healthy alternatives sugar was one of my culprits and need to cut back on greatly.

My social anxiety has often felt like a double edged sword. Most the time I’m wishing I could give it up & care less about how other ppl see me, but then I feel like if I give it up then I’d become the extreme: “careless” - thoughtless, rude, annoying, etc.

My social anxiety is rooted in shame 😢 and my self esteem or self worth is equated with how valuable I am to others and the accolades I get. Sounds shallow but it’s true 😔

The overuse and reckless adoption of anxiety as a whole is what led to me carrying a misunderstanding of social anxiety, a shock that came to me when I learned that I actually did suffer from it for far longer and more severely than I thought.

Eeeeh. Idk about that. I have severe anxiety, it's not that I give a damn what people think, it's the over whelming feeling that I'm inadequate to even be in a normal person's group, which seem to be popular and ideal. If anxious people get around the people like themselves, the social anxiety suddenly melts away. It's really the tediousness of finding that group

One thing that really helped me with social anxiety is talking to random strangers through mundane errands e.g. dentist appointments, person at the shop till when buying something, taxi rides. There was no social pressure to build a meaningful relationship like friendship / networking. It was practicing casual talk and very likely I was never going to see them again.

Just wanted to add I recently found your videos. And what I like the most is the part I'm sure you got into after this clip. The "how" you don't do what a lot of channels in the self help space do. And say here's your problem A your solution is E. You start at A and go through B, C, &D so people know how to get to E. And also I relate to way to many of your videos and not just a little bit. But I've learned a lot so thank you

I used to get beat up for being annoying or whatever, I think that is where my current shyness comes from, ppl now think I’m either mute or super cold and rude.

I can't decide whether I have social anxiety or I just lack a quick wit. I definetely care less and less about what others think about me lately, but rarely can I come up with a witty come back or banter with friends nonetheless.

I have these involuntary reactions, not seeming to come up consciously until I catch myself in the middle of it, where I simply freeze, physically shake or go catatonic or distant when exposed to social pressure - I find that my anxiety is not as simple as a concern

I really recommend every man runs day game. To fix this

It forces you to lose social anxiety and it’s the highest level of charisma achieved if you can take that gurl home with you in less than 24 hours.

No lights, no alcohol, no music.

All you. Run it up baby!!!! You got it!!!!
