A 25% price increase for the 7800x3d in Europe is not a "bit".

7800X3D become 15% more expensive than before after the Ryzen 9000 series launch in my country.

The price hike for the 7800X3D in Europe is insane, 25% within a month. Mindfactory was selling the 7800X3D for (lowest) 309€… now it’s at 409€ what the actual fuck.

The fact I purchased a new 7800X3D for $350 in February, and it now costs $450, is ridiculous. For context, I live in the U.S.

When you're buying a new CPU, you want more performance for the same money, not the same performance for more money.

7800x3d going from 340 euro to 420 euro is mad mad 💀

Bought a 5700x3D for 180€ two days ago as an upgrade from my 3600.
Gonna wait a few years before I do a complete platform upgrade.

Some of my country's retailers never bothered to obtain the new line of AMD CPUs... They do not worth it.
AMD has brilliant engineers. Sales/marketing people do everything in their power to make the company look like it's eating sand and pissing itself constantly.

You forgot, increased prices on the motherboards AGAIN this generation. We're going into the dark ages of gaming lads.

High prices, BIOS settings mess, Windows bugs, confusing reviews, performance lower than expected eventually, and launch in July to nail the coffin !

Everyone waiting for the 9800X3D. I am.

The 7800x3d is going up in price 💀
How did amd think that having same clock speeds, same cache size, same memory controller warrants 100$ extra for 10% performance.

I should have bought the 7800x3D while I could...
Came bundled with Space Marine 2 aswell. Damn.

When a 5800x3D / 7600x3D / 12700KF offer like 3x the value that isn't really surprising.

Happily married to my RTX 3070 and my AMD 5600X. Decent performance, low consumption, low heat expediture in the summer. I can enjoy any game on the market on my QHD OLED monitor at +100Hz. There is no reason to upgrade right now unless my computer breaks appart. The consumer inside of me hopes that they will bring something exciting for next generation. I would happily upgrade if instead of increasing performace they would give me current generation performance with better power efficiency. I'll hapily sacrifice some FPS if I can game in the summer without getting drenched in sweat.

Because the average consumer doesn't need this right now. What we need is well priced GPU's

1:54 AM4 is supposed to be dead, but it still dominates the sales chart. AMD not having 4 cores or Ryzen 3s even though the writing is on the wall on which products flies off the shelves.

People expected more out of the AMD 9000 series and did not get more. I don't expect 9800X3D will be that much of an upgrade over the 7800X3D.

1) Money is tight
2) Performance difference to 7000-series is not meaningful enough for people on AM5 platform to update
3) If you are getting a new system, you are more likely to get a 7000X3D than 9000
4) AMD dug its own hole by overpricing GPU's. Now most people are so extremely GPU limited that updating CPU makes no sense. On the other hand people who paid ridiculously high prices for mid range GPUs during pandemic are not going to update soon. Had AMD sold higher end 6000 and 7000 series GPUs at reasonable price, people might actually have money to update their hardware and reason to buy faster CPUs.
