Funny thing is that I can currently get a RTX 3090 Ti for about 1100€ if I dig around a bit (new). RTX 4080s go for 1400€ and up and the 7900 XTX was yet again bought up by scalpers on day 1 because they didn't even learn their lesson yet after sitting on a pile of 4080s and 4090s that nobody will buy off of them.

I wish them all the best with their overdrawn bank accounts.

I got mine at microcenter on launch day. Camped out. First in line. They had 34 total to sell. Also I got my wife one on Amazon on launch day also. Most of them were dropped at Amazon and Best Buy around 3-6am eastern time zone. A bunch of people in the line also got one online just in case they didn’t have any at the store. None of us knew inventory levels. Also there’s only one reason people scalp. Because there’s people stupid enough to pay them. Stop paying the trolls and they won’t come for us anymore and They’ll go back to shoe scalping Jordan’s and gettin more mop top haircuts and being crypto kids who don’t get laid

Congratulations to everyone that got a card without paying scalper prices y'all are MVP's! In Japan they are released today at 7pm. I took cover from work to get to the store. May whatever god exists be on my side.

I managed to get one. All it took was 2 of us, having all possible shops open and then flicking between them to get them the moment they launched. We made a deal that each of us would order 2 in case the other didn't get any.
We ended up successfully placing orders for 3 7900 XTX. We aren't scalpers though, so we canceled the third order, and now both of us have one (or rather, my mate got his already, but mine isn't coming until the 21st).

I got lucky. I got up at 5:45 am and started refreshing at 5:58. Completed my order at 6:01 and checked again just out of curiosity and they were completely out of stock. I'm glad I finally get to upgrade my 1660.

i think this round of scalpers are gonna suffer more than the honest gamers. A lot of people upgraded during this black friday season and a lot of us expected the new cards to be scalped on launch. i doubt many of them will ever be able to sell especially ones like that ridiculous red devil

Funny thing is, those "scalper prices" are the actual pricing in Sweden. That 25% sales tax looking mighty fine.

just ignore ebay and the scalper scum along with the current attempts from stores to rip you off.
enjoy some time with your friends and family and get the card on sale for ~800, - sometime q2/23.
note: you may finde the packaging slightly damp due to scalper tears. this is a good thing.

The 7900 XTX model is like a unicorn in Singapore. Seen one or two listed for 2 days, and nobody's selling them now.

It's only the debut and we're not in a shortage again, i don't think this will hold, they're will be too many gpus to be in stock but seriously countries should start to make anti scalping laws because it's getting out of control
