Nvidia is the apple of the GPU market. For both good and bad.

AMD beats Nvidia when it comes to value and raw performance but Nvidia has very reliable cards with some really useful features.

Me sitting here not even having a GPU installed in my pc ☠️

Team Radeon all the way, people who say amd drivers suck don’t know what they are talking about, I’d even argue adrenaline is better than Nvidia control panel now, that ui looks like it was last updated in 1995, yeah there is GeForce experience but it does not have all the functionality of control pannel

prices: AMD
performance: NVIDIA
content creation: easily NVIDIA
just for gaming: easily AMD
for gaming and content creation: NVIDIA
drivers: easily NVIDIA
upscaling, ray tracing, software: NVIDIA

hope this helps.

You want to play Cyberpunk with Path tracing, Nvidia
You don't care bout ray tracing and just want the best performance for value, AMD
You have unlimited money and get the best for the best, straight up 4090

G-Sync arguably isn't much of a feature anymore. Very few monitors actually use the G-sync hardware--they just use Freesync and are g-sync compatible.

AMD 7800XT I just bought chews up every game I throw at it and spits it out while staying at a cool 40-50 degrees

AMD freesync premium is much more accessible than g-snyc because it is not proprietary, and does the job just as well.
Edit: It's similar for the other features. AMD anti-lag and super resolution work with all games, not just specific ones. While neither is amazing quality they still just work for everything consistently which is nice. The features aren't better they're just different. Only feature that is directly much better is RT (and NV1 encoding), nvidia has gotten it much better.

Amd why ?
Dont need ray tracing
need less electricity
The cooler is smaller
Its cheaper (6800xt was cheaper then a 3070/3070ti when i bought it)
I had NVDIA GPUs and just had a lot of problems
FSR 2. 0 works even on a rx580 becorse AMD has a longer GPU support

BUT if i would need to work like editing video or 3D model stuff i would use NVDIA

I currently have an rx 6950 xt and even though fsr is a replacement to dlss I hate it right now, when fsr 3.0 releases then I wouldn’t mind getting some graphical artifacts for an AMAZING performance increase

The performance of amd is catching up and there's a little difference between amd and nvidia graphics cards than there was before, including tasks other than games as well. Therefore amd can be used for games and other tasks, provided that amd is cheaper and provides better performance for the same price. Alot of people don't even use nvidia's features, keep that in mind!!!

Thanks, this is the first video that ACTUALLY gave information on the difference.

I'm on my first amd card now (xfx 7900 xtx).
To my surprise this model is built better and runs quieter/cooler than every nvidia card I ever had (gtx 580, gtx 980, gtx 1080ti).

People always cry about amd drivers but I have switched multiple computers and different amd graphics cards and yet to find any issue.

You left out the part about how all of AMD's implementations of the features are open source and don't require current generation hardware to use, while Nvidia locks the use of the software to their 40 series. You also don't need a proprietary connector with current gen AMD cards. Let's not forget that same connector has been blowing up for 2 years straight, filling computer repair joints with dead 4090's.

To get 16 gigs of VRAM on Nvidia side, you need to either overpay for a card not powerful enough to need it, or spend close to $1, 000, when you only need to pay half of that for an AMD card.

Since you focused on nvidia's "highlights, " It's only fair that I post some of AMDs.

Ray tracing kills my fps, I’ve only used it on a couple old titles at 1080p. If it wasn’t for other programs I use outside of gaming, I would’ve just stuck with amd. I used to only rock amd because I only gamed

Anti-lag is fine, Freesync is fine, encoding is fine, FSR is much better than it used to be, Radeon cards can do raytracing. 7000 series can do it to about the level of RTX 30 series. Don't feel that you're 'missing out' on everything by picking a better value AMD card

Both are great, depending on your needs and your preferences.

Only reason I went for Nvidia is due to productivity differences. But if we want better pricing schemes from Nvidia we need more support for AMD. Though I doubt they'll care due to their focus on AI.
