Does walking burn fat? Is walking good for weight loss? The answer is a definite yes, and in today's "walking for fat loss" video I'll explain exactly how you can effectively lose fat by walking more. In fact, this was one of the key fat burning strategies I used during my last cutting phase and it had a big impact on my fat loss before and after results. Let's discuss the 4 key benefits of walking for weight loss and also answer the question of "how many calories does walking burn". I'll also give you a few important strategies to implement more fat loss walking into your day and also outline a few key cautionary tips as well. I don't recommend that you use walking as your only source of calorie burning, since regular cardio exercise should still be included to some extent. Your cutting diet also still plays a central role in the process, as losing fat and getting lean it ultimately is a matter of calories in vs. calories out when it all comes down to it. You aren't going to simply "get lean by walking", however it can definitely help out a lot in terms of shifting the calories out portion of the equation in your favor in a simple and sustainable way. So, how much walking to lose belly fat and how best to add it into your day? Let's go over it.

Had one client, he sent me his step count data and he had almost _exactly_ 10000 steps per day. Every single day was somewhere between 10000 and 10100. Every. Single. Day. The dude would walk around his house at night until he hit his suggested total. Needless to say, he got really good results.

Was 311lbs and couldn't do much else, so started walking. Once I got better shoes I started to get about 5-8k steps a day, though it was a struggle, then eventually hit 10k a day. This last week I hit 115k steps with my highest day being 32k steps. I've lost 60lbs so far and it's all from tracking calories and walking. I'm not inspiring anyone with my physical prowess, but I'm a lot healthier.

Walking + audiobooks has been a part of my routine for years! It's one of the main reason why I'm able to stay at 10 - 12% body fat without starving myself. And it makes getting lean in the first place A LOT easier. Great video man!

I've been counting calories, keeping macronutrients where they need to be, slight calorie deficit, following Sean and a couple others, lift to failure, harder than last time, push/pull/leg split. 55yrs old, best shape of my life..Thanks for all you do brother, we appreciate it 🙏

Started walking an hour a day during my cut from Feb to May. It's now a non-negotiable part of my day, helps with everything. If anything it enhances my productivity even if it's an hour I don't work.

True, calories are by far the most important thing here. I'm a Janitor and track my steps, about 25k per day, and I saw no weight loss until I paid more attention to diet. Imagine If I had a desk job.

I started walking this spring. The overall health improvements I've gotten, aside from the fat loss has been amazing in itself. I'm a fan for life.

100% concur! When I was in college I did a year abroad in the Netherlands. No cars allowed in the city center and i lived 5 miles from downtown. Had to walk and bike everywhere... but mostly ended up walking. I was in really good shape... but after about 6 months of doing my regular excercise routine, cardio everyday, lift 3x a week... and adding walking everyday and everywhere i was absolutely in the best shape of my life. It was sick. The difference was the walking. I was my lowest body fat ever, i could see every freaking muscle... and i kept ALL gains. I was perpetually in a low impact calorie deficit while I kept all muscle I built. I was never fatigued or had to take a rest day.

I probably was doing only about 3-4 miles of extra walking a day.... thats it. The difference was DRAMATIC. Oh... also a huge part of this was carrying everything I bought in the city center home as well.

Dont ever underestimate the value of walking a long way with heavy shit.

Walking is such a great thing. Not just for burning fat/calories but I feel it helps reduce stress and allows me to get some fresh air :)

Years ago, I walked about 4 hours a day: 1 before work, 1 at lunch, and 2 after work (I was single). It was the easiest 15lb I ever lost, because walking didn't induce the same desire to consume a pint of ice cream like HIIT cardio does.

Did anyone else laugh when he showed the video of Dr. Berg and mentioned “diet hack” lol

Walking is how i started my fitness journey back in May. I walk 3 Miles a day everyday. Then again at school during break to get to 10-12000 steps a day. Then I reached out to Sean and got my workout routine which i love! I don't dread working out anymore i actually enjoy it! I've lost 5lbs so far and it's really exciting to see my body transform.

Bonus tip: don’t use a fat burner. Inb4 the “walking an extra mile is too fatiguing!” crew.

Talking a walk to the park while listening music. It's not only the way I lost weight but also it gives me a lot of mental peace

The kinder, gentler cardio. It would be smart for me to just walk to thes gym. Only about 2 miles. But walking back is another matter!

I've recently started walking everyday. I'll take around 8k to 10k steps a day and I've already noticed incredible improvements in my body and also in my overall mood

In April I started working out again as I was getting way overweight. Added a lot of walking in and from April 1st to the present I'm nearly down 40lbs!
