I was only a very young boy when this movie came out. I'm 46 now, and I still get a tear in my eye at the end of this movie. I don't think that will ever change 😊

Everything about the Cobra Kai actors was perfect: Dutch's arrogance, Bobby's reluctance, and Johnny's ultimate decision to do what he knew he shouldn't do. I think there are 20 words of dialogue between them and Kreese in the whole scene: everything else body and eyes.

One of the best moments of this movie is when jonny proves at the end that he really is a good guy mnot totally corrupted by his sensei

Mr. Miyagi was such an amazing father figure for Daniel in this final stretch of scenes. Love how he comforts Daniel “Miyagi here”.

This movie is synonymous with life. I was facing the decision to end my life in 2018. When I view this scene I think of Johnny as the depression, fear, shame, guilt, self loathing, and anxiety I felt. When the sensei says finish him, I remember being at that point, with the gun in the next room. I was about to take my life in front of my children. I just wanted the pain to stop. Somehow, I was shown what would happen to my daughter and my son. I was shown that the trajectory of their lives would change and they would never, ever be the same again. I thank God I stayed. My life is rich and full today. That little girl is now nearly 17 and that boy is 12. I would have missed out on the lives they are creating. It gets better friends. Hold on for one more day. ❤❤❤

Years and years of watching fight scenes after this movie (fighters on invincibility mode/polished choreographed moves) you realize how great they filmed the last 20 minutes of this movie. It was anxious, awkward, frustrating and realistic. I watch this now and still feel overwhelmed like a high school loner.

I've watched this scene many, many times, and the crane kick still thrills me.

Pat should have won the Oscar on that scene alone(fixes Daniel's leg).

This and Rocky are two of the best sports movies of the 80s.

9:55 I am SHOCKED Johnny never mentions this in Cobra Kai, giving Dan the trophy and congratulating him.

I'm pretty sure everyone else noticed it, but it's interesing how Johnny's movements are more sparatic in the final match, showing his frustration. Compared to Daniel's movements, whose are calm and calculated. Those minute details. Perfect.👌👋

The way johnny looks at kreese after bobby gets disqualified, he knew then at that point that he was crazy! Sweep the leg Johnny!
