My late father was diagnosed with liver cancer at 77 with a life expectancy of 3.5 months and an AFP reading of 6, 500ng/mL (normal is <10). He had chemo pellets and ethanol injections with minimal success and Nexavar tablets that damaged his liver further. His oncologist recommended he cease the Nexavar. We put him on herbal supplements thereafter, and he lived for another eight years with no side effects or pain and his AFP reading reduced to <1 (through year-on-year blood tests) which his oncologist remarked was extraordinary. He died of an unrelated illness earlier this year. I'm not saying this is a cure, I'm just happy I got to have another 8 years with my dad.
